Pregnancy & Parenting
"First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes us pushing a baby carriage!"  Funny enough, the rhyme says nothing about single parenthood, an inability to conceive, pregnancy or infant loss, postpartum depression, or just how difficult parenting can be.  Mending Heart Bellies was founded in 2011 with its sole focus on navigating parental bereavement due to miscarriage, stillbirth, loss, or poor prenatal diagnosis.  Over the years, while the MHBs scope has expanded, its core mission of mending hearts broken by the pain of perinatal and postnatal loss still remains.

If you are struggling to get pregnant, are faced with a poor prenatal diagnosis, or are coping with the loss of a child through miscarriage, perinatal death, stillbirth, or neonatal death, Mending Heart Bellies is here to support you in this struggle.  Whether you need stress relief with yoga and meditation, peer mentoring, or informational assistance and bereavement planning, we have a wide range of services.  You are not alone.  **Bereavement doula services have always been and remain provided at no charge..**

Pregnancy After Loss Support
Postpartum Depression Support
Embarking on a pregnancy after a loss comes with huge challenges.  While you are excited and hopeful for the future, many mothers struggle with being pregnant again and are fearful of the same outcome.  Couples may feel out of place in traditional childbirth education classes or with traditional doula support.  Mending Heart Bellies offers unique, one-on-one and small-group PAL (when available) childbirth education classes to accommodate the needs of bereaved, expectant parents.  In addition, we offer support, guidance, and peer mentorship for both mothers and their partners through periods of postpartum depression.

Parenting After Loss Support
Special Needs Parenting Support
Parenting is not an easy task in the best of situations, but when you are parenting after a loss or are the parents of a special needs child, you can feel overwhelmed and undersupported.  With compassion, experience, and uncompromising support, Mending Heart Bellies can give you the extra care that you need to cope with this unique situation that you never planned on.  You can do this- we can help.

Parenthood Mentoring & Support
Homeschooling Mentoring & Support
Motherhood today is a far cry from the way our grandmothers parented.  At times, we feel alone even though we are surrounded, day in and day out, by people.  Many are parenting without the support networks and familial structures of old, while the expectations and desires of parenting have increased.  Mothers are increasingly more unhappy and feel more unsupported than ever before.  When you factor in balancing the needs of a single-income families so that one parent can stay home or the additional stresses that come with home educating children, parenthood can take its toll. Don't feel buried under the weight of it all; we can help you get through this season.
